SILICON VALLEY DATA FOR ALL
About Us
Our Story
Silicon Valley Data for All was founded on the basis that statistics doesn't always tell all - but it is up to us to make equity and inclusion at the forefront of our efforts. We believe that data should be for everyone, and are committed to ensure all communities have equal access to data and its benefits.
When Grace visited a neighborhood bordering Downtown San Jose, she was shocked at the material inequalities and poor living conditions she witnessed, driving her to question how such a prosperous and financially well-off place could hide such stark inequities.

She became inspired to start Silicon Valley Data for All as she realized how poor data could paint false pictures, but by adopting a lens of equity, data may become a tool for empowerment and advocacy.

SVDA is commited to using collaborative and participatory approaches to ensure data reflects the experiences of those it represents. We believe that research can be a powerful vessel for advocacy, and strive to amplify all voices through out findings.
